John 15:13-14 Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. 14 You are my friends if you do what I command.
Oswald Chambers said “Salvation is easy for us, because it costs God so much.”
All we had to do was say yes to what Jesus did for us on the cross. He laid down His life for us so we might have life.
But we now have to ask ourselves two questions. Am I a friend of Jesus? If not we need to make Him our friend. And if Jesus is your friend. What has He asked you to lay down in your life? Most of us, if not all of us are not going to have to lay our physical lives down for Jesus. But if we are going to be friends and obedient to Jesus, we are going to have to lay down our life or things that are a part of our life for Him.
We might have to lay down our careers, dreams, and desires. Maybe we have to move away from our families or make some type of sacrifice for the Kingdom of God. But it is something that is in your life and Jesus has asked you to lay it down for Him.
What has Jesus asked you to lay down in your life for Him? Be sure of this, whatever you lay down for Jesus will be worth it. Because He has a better plan for your life than you have for yourself.
Jer. 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
