desert experience

Luke 1:80  And the child grew and became strong in spirit; and he lived in the desert until he appeared publicly to Israel.


We are living in a time where there are people who are living in obscurity but God has been doing a work in them preparing them for a very public display of God’s power. 

John the Baptist was to prepare the way of the Lord.   (Lk 1:17)   But before he did that he spent a considerable time in the desert growing strong in the spirit  . And then at the appointed time the word of God comes to John.   (Lk.3:2)  And he bursts on the scene preparing the way of the Lord.

Maybe you fill like you are in the desert.  It could be that the Lord is preparing you making you strong in spirit.  And then one-day the word of God comes to you and you burst on the scene as God uses you to prepare the way of the Lord for someone.  Remember Moses spent 40 years in the desert and then burst on the scene to bring deliverance to a nation.  Could it be that God has you in the desert and in obscurity in order for you to bring deliverance to someone or a group of people?

Don’t fret the desert experience.  Let it be a time of God strengthening your spirit because He has a plan and purpose for you.
