Well the Apocalypse has come and gone. According to Harold Camping of Family Radio International the rapture was to take place on May 21st, 2011 and the world would be destroyed on Oct 21st, 2011. Apparently Harold and his crazy followers were wrong! Maybe they should of read Matt 24:36 or
Mark 13:32. It would of saved them a lot of embarrassment and all the money they spent on a billboard campaign on just about every continent.
But money doesn’t seem to be a problem with Harold’s organization. In 2009 they reported $18.3 million in donations and assets of more than $104 million.
Embarrassment is not new to Harold Camping or his followers . In 1994 he was wrong, but blamed that mistake on a mathematical error. This kind of nonsense is dangerous and makes a mockery of true Christianity.
This much we do know. Harold Camping and his group were wrong about the time, but are right I that the Lord is coming back. 1Thess 4:13-18 Paul said in verse 13 “brothers we do not be want you to be ignorant” Jesus is coming back, the rapture will take place. And verse 18 says “encourage each other with these words”
So let me encourage you. The rapture didn’t take place on May 21st. Jesus will come on His timetable, not Harold Camping's predictions or mathematical equations.
Amen, Come Lord Jesus.
