Coming Out Of The Closet

I read an article in the Tulsa World on May 21st about how atheists are coming out of the closet.  Apparently the National Campaign by the Freedom From Religion Foundation has started placing their message on billboards around the greater Tulsa area with the proclaimation that they are atheists, they don’t need God, and they are proud of it.  They show photos and names of local families professing that there is no God.

Here is what the bible says about that- Psalm 14:1 “The fool has said in his heart, There is no God.”

Dear Freedom From Religion Foundation,

I want to come out of the closet as well.  I am free from religion!  In fact,I do not need religion at all.  I have a relationship with God who created the universe. And that relationship comes through Jesus Christ. Jesus said in John 14:6 “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”  I have been given the Spirit and the Spirit testifies with my spirit that I belong to God, He is my Father and I am his child.

I don’t have to worry about keeping a bunch of rules and regulations.  I just love my Father and He loves me, which frees me from religion.  I am free from religion because where the Spirit of the Lord is there is FREEDOM.   Consider this my billboard!  I am free from religion through my relationship with Jesus Christ!

Out Of The Closet, Living A Life of Freedom Through Christ,
Ronnie

So who's with me?  Come on out of the closet and be free from religion and embrace a relationship with the one true God that only comes through Jesus Christ.

Another article about the local billboards in Tulsa.

  1. That's awesome, Ronnie! I'm with you! How cool would it be if Christians all around the world joined with the Freedom From Religion Foundation! :D
