The Kingdom

Luke 17:20-21   Once, having been asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, Jesus replied, "The kingdom of God does not come with your careful observation,  21  nor will people say, 'Here it is,' or 'There it is,' because the kingdom of God is within you."

The Amplified Bible says it this way:  Nor will people say, Look! Here [it is]! or, See, [it is] there! For behold, the kingdom of God is within you [in your hearts] and among you [surrounding you].

The Kingdom of God, refers to God’s sovereign and gracious occupation in the hearts of His people.  This why we are to pray for the Kingdom of God to come, we need the Kingdom realities to be our living experience and possession.  The Kingdom has come to those areas of our lives where Jesus is Lord.

This why we have to constantly pray Matt.6:10 your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.  Because our lives are under constant attack from the enemy and Jesus desires to be Lord over every area of our lives, our thoughts, actions, and attitudes.  If you have accepted Jesus into your life.  Then you are in the Kingdom of God and now let the Kingdom to begin to rule and reign in every area of your life.  Enjoy life in the Kingdom of God.

  1. Ronnie, Good thoughts on the Kingdom. The Kingdom is real where the King is reigning. When Jesus is Lord and King in my heart and in my life, there is the Kingdom. Of course the Kingdom in its fullness will only come when Jesus comes again. But we do not have to wait for that great event to live in the Kingdom of heaven.

Too many times we live like citizens of this earthly kingdom rather than as subjects of the heavenly Kingdom.
