Declaring Jesus for the next generation.

Judges 2:10-11  After that whole generation had been gathered to their fathers, another generation grew up, who knew neither the LORD nor what he had done for Israel.  11  Then the Israelites did evil in the eyes of the LORD and served the Baals. (NIV)

What a sad commentary this is.  It should speak to us that we have to reach the next generation with the gospel.  I hear so many views on how the church needs to minister to the next generation.  Some criticize the methods that some are using.  I don’t think the method is sacred; it is the message that is sacred.

And if the next generation is not introduced to the same Jesus we know, then history tells us that they will serve (worship) something other than Jesus.  We have a responsibility to do all we can to reach the next generation for Christ.  Whatever methods and means you choose to use, as long as we are declaring Jesus.
