Proverbs 4:23 Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.
Our hearts have to be kept pure before God. The bible talks about out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. We have to guard our hearts and not allow bitterness, anger, hatred, and malice into our heart. We have to learn to keep our hearts guarded and pure.
Above all else guard your heart. God looks upon the heart, not the outward man.
